Compare the OKC Comets Astro Trucker 47 Cap and the Alt. 1 Cap. Decide between a breathable trucker style and a fitted alternate cap for game day.
Quick answer
Choose the OKC Comets Astro Trucker 47 Cap for a breathable, adjustable fit, or the OKC Alt. 1 Cap for a precise, fitted alternate style. Your choice depends on whether you prioritize airflow or a snug, structured look.
Breathability vs. structure
The Astro Trucker 47 Cap uses a mesh back for airflow, making it a cooler option for warm days or active wear. The Alt. 1 Cap is a fitted New Era 59FIFTY style with a solid polyester build, offering a more structured, uniform look that holds its shape.
Fit adjustability
The trucker cap has an adjustable closure, so one size fits most heads without guessing. The Alt. 1 Cap is fitted and comes in specific sizes (like 7 7/8), which gives a custom feel but requires knowing your exact size.
Design and occasion
Both caps show Oklahoma City Comets pride, but the Astro Trucker has a classic trucker silhouette that works for casual everyday wear, while the Alt. 1 Cap is an official alternate cap design that feels more game-day authentic.
Trade-offs at a glance
- Astro Trucker 47 Cap: Breathable mesh back, adjustable fit, classic trucker look. Price: $29.82.
- Alt. 1 Cap: Fitted polyester construction, official alternate design, size-specific (7 7/8). Price: $8.54.
- Key trade-off: The trucker cap offers ventilation and one-size adjustability; the fitted cap offers a precise, structured fit at a lower price but only in one size. If you need a cap that fits without sizing guesswork, choose the trucker. If you want a snug game-day look and know your size, the Alt. 1 is a budget-friendly pick.
